Uruguayan Amethyst Druze
There is a particular depth to Uruguayan amethyst that sets it apart. Where Brazilian amethyst tends toward lighter lilac, the amethyst mined in Uruguay grows in conditions that produce a deeper, richer violet, closer to ink than to lavender, with a darkness that catches the light differently depending on the angle.
A druze is a crystal cluster, a piece of rock in which dozens or hundreds of individual amethyst points have grown together, facing outward, creating a surface that glitters and shifts as the light moves across it. No two pieces are identical. The formation, the depth of colour, the arrangement of points, all of it determined by millions of years of geological process rather than any human hand.
Place it on a windowsill, a desk or a shelf and it changes with the light throughout the day. In the morning it is one thing. By afternoon it is another. That is part of what makes a druze worth having.
Said to carry the energy of amethyst in concentrated form - calm, clarity and spiritual protection, amplified by the cluster formation which is understood in many traditions to radiate energy outward into the surrounding space rather than simply holding it.
Each piece is sold individually and selected for its quality and character. Approximate dimensions 3-5cm, approximate weight 50-80g.
