Golden Rutilated Quartz Tumble Stone

Golden rutilated quartz is quartz like no other. Inside the clear or smoky host stone, fine threads of golden rutile run in every direction, some parallel, some crossing, some radiating outward like light itself frozen mid-movement. It is one of those stones that reveals more the longer you look at it. No two pieces contain the same arrangement of needles. No two will ever be.

The rutile inclusions are titanium dioxide, a mineral that grows as long, needle-like crystals within the quartz as both minerals form simultaneously deep within the earth. The golden colour comes from iron oxide within the rutile. Under magnification the needles are extraordinary. Even to the naked eye, they give the stone a quality that feels almost electric.

Said to amplify the energy of the quartz around them, turning an already powerful stone into something more concentrated. Associated with manifestation, clarity of purpose and the warm solar energy that supports those stepping into something new. Each tumble stone is polished and sold individually, approximately 2-3cm. The density, direction and colour of the rutile inclusions varies significantly from piece to piece.
