Chevron Amethyst Sphere

There is something particular about a sphere. Every other shape a crystal takes - the tower, the heart, the raw cluster, carries a direction. The sphere carries none. It radiates equally in all directions, which is why it has been used across traditions as an object of contemplation, divination and the kind of quiet, open attention that doesn’t have a fixed point.

Carved from natural chevron amethyst, the distinctive layering of deep violet and white quartz in V-shaped bands that makes this variety immediately recognisable, each sphere is shaped by hand from solid stone rather than grown into its form. The banding runs through it in every direction, different on every face, different at every angle.

At approximately 2cm it sits neatly in the palm or on a shelf. Small enough to be held easily, considered enough to be left out where it can be seen. Not perfect and not flawless, carved from natural stone, which means it carries the small variations and surface characteristics that come with that. We think that’s the point.

Said to carry all the qualities of amethyst: calm, clarity and spiritual protection, radiating them evenly into the surrounding space rather than in a single direction.
